State Bank of India or SBI is one of the busiest banks of India. Nowadays, though everything can be done online, it is always better to have your home branch near you. Here we are going to discuss how you can transfer your SBI savings account** from one SBI branch to another SBI branch.

Suppose you live in a place where you have a SBI branch nearby but the SBI branch where you have your account is far away. Now, if you want to transfer your account to the nearest branch offline, you have to keep a long time in hand as you have to visit the branch physically and also you need the documents and also keep in mind the long queue.
But, following the process described in this section you can transfer your account to the nearest SBI branch just sitting at home.

Steps for SBI account transfer from one branch to another branch by Yono SBI mobile banking application
STEP 1
Open the SBI Yono application. If you do not have one you can download the same from the link below. First time users need to register with internet banking details.

Login to the application and click on Services at down right of the options.
STEP 3
Now click on the last option Transfer of Savings Account.
STEP 4
Select your saving account from the drop down list which you want to transfer.
STEP 5
Once you select, all the details of the account would be automatically populated.
STEP 6
Now enter the branch code where you want to transfer your account.

Remember branch code is only the number of the ifsc code, not the alphabets. Normally the ifsc code has lots of zeros before the code, you have to put the last 5 digits.
For example, if your branch IFSC code is like SBIN0001234
Then your branch code you will enter as 01234.
STEP 7
Once entered, click on Get Branch Name.
STEP 8
Verify if the branch name being displayed is the one where you want your account to  transfer. If not, then please re-verify the IFSC code you entered.
STEP 9
Once done, click the checkbox saying “I accept the terms and conditions“. It is recommended to go through the terms before you select, because there might be something which you do not like and change your decision.

Finally click on Submit.
Steps to transfer SBI savings account from one branch to another using NetBanking
STEP 1
Open www.onlinesbi.com and login without your internet banking credentials.
STEP 2
Click on e-services in the menu.
STEP 3
Click on Transfer of Savings Account.
STEP 4
A window will open. Select the account which you want to transfer.
STEP 5
Enter the branch code of the branch where you want your account to be transferred to.
